Pangkor Island's Best Luxury Resorts

The Island's Best Resort:

"Simply World Class"

Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca.

This piece of paradise has been 2 million years in the making, and here you will find one of the world’s premier resorts nestling in the shade of forest giants as old as the land.

You will find no other resorts – just secluded bays curled around pristine beaches, evening skies woven with colour, and a deep sense of serenity reserved exclusively for our guests. A combination of luxury, natural beauty and age-old wilderness woven together to produce an environment where peace and magically memorable moments are the currency.  (other resorts are located on the main island)

Of the island's 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the Resort and its eight Estates. Wooden buildings blend seamlessly into the forest as if nature had been the architect dictating how walls curve around foliage, and roofs open up to allow trees to continue on their journey to the sky.

Nature is respected here, almost revered, and it rewards visitors in ways that simply need to be experienced.

Featuring an expansive stretch of private beach, the Pangkor Island Beach Resort provides tranquil holiday accommodations in Pangkor, a small, unspoiled island northwest of mainland Malaysia in the Straits of Malacca. With white sand beaches and little-changed Malaysian fishing villages, Pangkor is great for canoeing, jungle treks and scuba diving.

The island is 125 miles north of Kuala Lumpur and is easily accessible by a 30-minute ferry ride from Lumut. The Pangkor Island Beach Resort is 30 minutes from the Foo Ling Kong Chinese Temple, which features a miniature replica of the Great Wall of China along with numerous rock paintings; the Dutch Fort, which was built in 1670 and once provided protection against pirates; and Pangkor Village, an area with fresh produce, seafood and a few kedai kopi (coffee shops).

Surrounded by 73 acres of lush centuries-old forest, exotic land and marine life, the Pangkor Island Beach Resort provides a private enclave featuring low-rise Malay-style architecture. The hotel includes 240 guestrooms, suites, beach houses and chalets, each with Asian-style furnishings and modern conveniences, and all with either ocean or garden views.

The resort's main restaurant, the Hornbill, offers local and international cuisine and informal dining featuring an open kitchen. Other dining and entertainment options include the Pacific Terrace Restaurant, serving local and international cuisine; Golden Oriole Lobby Lounge and Bar, an ideal spot for evening cocktails, with live entertainment and a karaoke lounge; and the Kingfisher Pool Bar, serving hot snacks, beer, champagne and exotic fruit drinks.

Swiss Garden Golf Resort and Spa Damai Laut

Swiss-Garden Resort & Spa Damai Laut is a very private hotel, built on a quiet peninsular on the Northern Straits of Malacca.

Located in 400 acres of natural rain forest and plantations, the hotel has its own 18-hole championship golf course - Damai Laut Golf and Country Club, designed by the well-known American Ronald Fream. In addition, there are 180 units of Swiss-Court Holiday Apartments.

The hotel offers 300 comfortable rooms and suites, all with uninterrupted scenic views, which have a 24-hour movie channel and satellite television.

All the Deluxe rooms and suites are tastefully furnished and have their own private balconies that command breathtaking views of the ocean and resort gardens. Each room is equipped with modern amenities to meet the needs of both business travelers and holidaymakers. In addition, there are six different food and beverage outlets onsite for dining and entertainment.

Recreational activities at the resort include cruises, snorkeling, fishing, jungle trekking, two outdoor pools, tennis, archery, watersports and bicycle rentals.

Other hotel amenities include same-day laundry and valet services, gift shop, business center, Pandy Panda Kids Corner and airport shuttle service. Traditional Malay massage treatments are also available.

Teluk Dalam Resort Pangkor Island

Teluk Dalam Resort is your paradise by the sea. It occupies 40 acres of mostly landscaped gardens in a secluded cove at the northern tip of the virtually virgin Pangkor Island.

Much of the land is left in its original state, while the part that are needed to be enhanced are beautifully landscaped and planted with many species of different fruit trees and flowers.

The delightful, rustic ambience here is made more exquisite by our chalets, bungalows and villas. These feature Kampung-styled architecture and are furnished and equipped in a manner to help achieve your total comfort and pleasure.

Teluk Dalam offers individual chalets and bungalows with magnificent views of either the garden or the sea.

All accommodation units come complete with balcony, hot & cold running water, air-conditioning, IDD telephone, in-house TV and movies, coffee & tea making facilities, refrigerator, mini-bar, in-room personal safe and much more.
